Well aks are all pretty much the same. This one is actually an armscor ak22 so it shoots 22lr instead of the 7.62 x 39. I have a regular ak too, but I wanted one that I could shoot for next to nothing in cost. Dimensions and mechanisms are virtualy identical to the ak47. Right now I am looking to a hi cap mag for it, ten round clip is not near enough.
