| Hey guys, I mentioned in the pictures thread i'd be making this, so I took some pictures and began. I'm aiming mostly for advanced air cooling but you can only do so much with that Here are the things I'm starting with. Heres the actual case, drive cover, and fan shroud. Looking to do collins mod, I pulled the fan out of the PSU, but it was different, so I've been experimenting. I finally decided that grinding down the heatsink a small bit to fit a fan would be more helpful than hurtful. I have extra heatsinks if this doesn't work out or whatever. And heres the combo mounted on the mobo. Finally, i'll be using a Pulse VU 2x from sickmods. I just got it installed tonight after a month process of returning it to get it fixed. There ended up being a micro bridge somewhere, but it was fixable. Now it works perfectly. Here are the led boards I'm using. I'm going with a black and white theme, so these are white lights. I did solder these myself...I don't do premade Heres a picture of the general electronics assembly. The RF board has red error leds too. What do you guys think? I'm open to ideas...really whatever you want to throw at me. I also plan on connecting an lcd screen to see if I can get it to work. It won't end up in the final product, but I'll take pictures and make a tut. | |

| I'm definitely liking the overall look so far, mainly that fan shroud, just that small cut makes all the difference. | |

| Haha thanks! I was just trying to make a tut on putting a screen inside you're xbox...and something went wrong with the power to say the least. I blew the HANA/ANA chip to pieces, so now I have a working xbox with no video whatsoever. I'm going to try to replace it, but I doubt i'll be able to. That means I'm gonna need a new xbox, preferably untouched and broken, to substitute the mobo. S*** happens I guess.
EDIT: New mobo on the way. Got that, fans, heatsinks, shroud, metal casing, and dvd PCB for 27$. Gotta love ebay. I'll work on the case right now though, and I'll give you some updates. I have an idea for the drive cover....

| I just finished the DVD drive idea I had. It's sexy as hell. This is just the cover put on the board to see what it would look like. Pretty sick, am I right? | |

| Real nice!!!!
Got a couple questions: 1. What's the model # of the fan? 2. Would you be willing to sell the hard drive port off the old board?

| Thanks! I actually just used plexi that I sanded the edges off of, and the light diffused through it very nicely. SR2K - Yes, it is confirmed, I can sell you the HDD port, and the model number for the fan is AB4512HX-GD0 and its from ADDA.
And how do you guys think I should secure the plexi? Its just laying there on the picture. I don't want to use hot glue, because it would light up and look weird.

| Do you guys think I should water cool it? It would be all internal. I found all the parts and the price comes out to be somewhere near 250$. I'll have the money in a month. Heres the waterblock I would use http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/xsxb360cpwa.htmlWhat do you think? | |

| I like the waterblock and your choice of going the internal route, go for it man.. The Swiftech MCP355 with 3/8" barbs would be a great fit in the 360 WorldFormula, plus it's very quiet.. | |

| Yea, that was actually the one I had picked out. Could you heat and stretch 1/4 ID tubes over those though? Or would you recommend using bigger tubes? | |

| Just got the mobo in....and the guy sent the wrong board. He sent the Hitachi instead of the Samsung. MAN....now I can't find another one. Could anyone here replace an ANA chip? I have a good one to replace the bad one, I just can't do it. | |

| The 1/4 ID would be a perfect fit in the 360, you should be able to heat and stretch the 1/4 ID on the 3/8 barbs? I don't see why not?? Sidewinder has a bunch of fittings and adapters , they have a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter if the heat and stretch doesn't work. Man that's going to come out looking sweet, keep me updated!! I can't wait to see the final project!! | |

| Yea....but a touch short on the money. I just got in 3 xboxes for 80$ so I should be able to resell them upwards of 300 if I do some simple mods. Then i'll be good and i'll start. I'm still without a working mobo though | |

| JUN 15, thread from the dead.
Hows this going worldformula? no updates? Im interested in the final product.
EDIT: ''Hey we don't talk about that...oh wait haha'' - I do believe its ok as long as its for constructive purposes. (ie; not burning games.)

| I had everything picked out and ready to go, and I couldn't find a good samsung mobo to switch over to. Then I got into repairing so I kinda lost heart. I'm gonna get back to it, maybe i'll tear down my jasper and do a stealth mod. No visual, all hardware. | |
